Storytelling Website

A collaboration with the Journalism Department. Worked with a group of journalism students to design and execute the article into a website. In preparation for Durham College's 50th Anniversary, featured stories will be shared and displayed throughout the year.

Turbo Firewall Slot Machine

Interactive Game Website

Started as just a JavaScript assignment and a simple slot machine game. Features were added such as animating images, music, saving current state and cashout. We later added a theme of design for the machine, all created in SVG.

Features:

Images flips when playing the game

Music plays when you enter, win and play the game

Saves locally when you quit therefore saves your last state and loads it once you come back

Originally a first year final project, I revisted this website and rebuilt it with Foundations. I was comfortable with Bootstrap at the time and it was a good challenge for me to work on my Foundation skills.

Media Specialist

An incentive from Durham College to help and cultivate students to become entrepreneurs and start their own company. Run mostly by students, I help students by creating logos and marketing materials for their new companies. I also create in house posters, and other media related pieces for FastStart. I also handled our social media prescence during the summer.

FastStart Viewbook
Created entire viewbook that overviews our initiative. Created over the summer while I was working with them. All of the designs follows the FastStart design language.

Event Posters
Built plenty of event posters, they need to be both be designed for both digital and print distributed. Content is provided and I would have freedom to design as long as it follows FastStart design language.

MailChimp
During the Summer, created newsletters bi-weekly to be sent to our subscribers. During the school year, monthly ones are sent. Again, content is provided and I have the freedom of design as long as it follows the design lanaguge.

Calling from a Database

My first project where we used a database to populate product information. Also, used Angular and Bootstrap to stylize and properly display each product.

Ice Cream Table Talker
Created and printed this table talker for first year final project. We created did all the layout and design and colour scheme. The logo, product images and product description was provided.

The Chonicle Brand Book
Worked with Durham College's student newspaper to develop a new logo. This was a competition with other students in my program as well as Graphic Design students The Brand book was completely optional and I did this on my own time. My logo was in the final three designs considered.

Logo Creations for Startups
Worked with the school in FastStart DC, in that time, I helped students start their own companies. I helped by making logos and promotional materials for these companies.

A Slice of Heaven

Pizza Ordering Site

My favourite JavaScript assignment, where I could apply my skills in coding for something that is practical in ordering pizza and other products. It keeps tracks with all the products in a cart that is generated when the user adds an item inside the cart.

Features:

Prevents items added into cart without picking a size and quantity

Reads the last item on the table to be removed everytime remove last item is clicked
